Low Energy, Clean & Green
Biorefinery technology
Enabling the sustainable separation of non-food, lignocellulosic biomass into high-value biochemicals
WE ARE COMMITTED TOTHE ENVIRONMENT
Bio‑Sep has developed a unique, low energy biorefinery process to convert the by-products of forestry and agriculture into high-value biochemicals.
The extraction of crude oil and gas and the burning of waste biomass from forestry and agriculture are significant contributors to the as yet uncontrolled growing C02 content of the earth’s atmosphere, a critical component of climate change.
Bio-Sep seeks to upcycle low value biomass by extracting valuable bio-chemicals, so contributing to the circular economy and delivering significant global socio-economic benefits.
Ultrasonic BIO-REFINERY TECHNOLOGY
CORE TECHNOLOGY values
The biorefinery process, developed and patented by Bio-Sep, operates at low temperature and pressure with reduced cycle time and recyclable solvents.
Through the production of valuable lignin as well as the cellulose and hemicellulose fractions, the full biomass is utilized with high conversion efficiencies.
The result is a process faster, cleaner, safer and cheaper than state-of-the-art, producing bio-chemicals that meet the standards required by the food, pharmaceutical and other precision industries.
LOW ENERGY
A low energy process to ensure the process is economical and produces little CO².
FLEXIBLE
The technology is applicable to variations of lignocellulosic biomass.
ORGANIC
The process uses only gentle, organic solvents.
HIGH quality PRODUCTS
Mild processing conditions to produce high-value biochemicals and little waste.
