Sherman Enterprises' Bio-S.E.P. brings exciting new technologies to industry,
business and the consumer for today's hydrocarbon remediation needs. Bio-S.E.P.
is a two part process. The first part of this process is the Bio-S.E.P.
itself. Bio S.E.P. is a pure colloid that is water soluble. Bio-S.E.P. is
a cleaner/degreaser that works far better than most cleaners found in today's
market. It is a ternary non-ionic surfactant system that is dielectric in
nature. Bio-S.E.P. complies with OSHA
29-CFR-1910.1200 for use on any surface compatible with water in commercial
or industrial applications. Bio-S.E.P. is non-hazardous, non-toxic, and
non-flammable.
The second part of the process is Sherman Enterprises' Shurzyme. Shurzyme
is a hydrocarbon eating microbe, and when added to the Bio-S.E.P. solution
not only cleans, but remediates. This microbe that eats oil is the center,
or most important part of the microbial remediation process.
Microbes have been on the earth since the beginning of time and are found
all over the world. Modern technology has brought this simple life form
to the environmental forefront. The microbe is nature's most nearly perfect
employee. It needs no time off. It only eats, and hydrocarbons are its only
food source. Microbial bioremediation is the process by which microbes transform
(not transfer) harmful and toxic waste into non-toxic and non-harmful compounds.
Shurzyme in conjunction with Bio-S.E.P. transforms hydrocarbons into harmless
products that are safe for animal, plant and aquatic life, and, most importantly,
human life. Oil, solvents, diesel and gasoline fuel are converted into non-hazardous
products that are environmentally safe. The intermediate by-products of
microbial degradation are alkanes, aldehydes, and organic acids. These fatty
acids are readily used as a primary source of energy in a living microbe
or degraded by nature.
Microbial bioremediation is, very simply, helping nature do the job faster
and more effectively. Bio-S.E.P. only gives nature a helping hand by adding
a very large concentration of hydrocarbon eating microbes to the contaminated
area.
The transform (not transfer) approach is far more acceptable and less costly
for today's world. If we merely transfer the problem from one place to another,
we have not solved the problem, we have only changed the location of the
problem. This, to Sherman Enterprises, is not an acceptable course of action.
Oil, fats, fuel and other related substances are in abundance and not in
their intended or proper place. From accidental spills, auto, truck, and
train wrecks, oil field and oil tanker spills, to your own driveway Bio-S.E.P.
with Shurzyme is the answer.
Bio-S.E.P. will not harm stainless steel, acrylics, rubber, vinyls, glass,
fabrics, paint, or other finishes that are compatible with water. Bio-S.E.P.
and Shurzyme are USDA approved for use
in meat, poultry, and egg grading plants.
The main objective of Sherman Enterprises' Bio-S.E.P. with Shurzyme is to
remediate hydrocarbons and make a cleaner environment.
From heavy industrial cleaning to glass cleaning, Bio-S.E.P. cleans it
all. Bio-S.E.P. is a pure colloid that is water soluble, and may be used
on any surface that is compatible with potable or salt water. As an all
purpose cleaner/degreaser, the list is limitless. Truck, cars, marine bilges,
farm equipment, walls, floors, bathroom tile, garage floors, manufacturing
processors, conveyor equipment, counter tops, filters, window, boats planes,
food processing areas, rail equipment, oven and stove stops, cooling towers,
and brass and stainless steel.
Bio-S.E.P. is USDA authorized for use
in meat, poultry and egg grading programs. Bio-S.E.P. complies with OSHA 29-CFR-1910, for use on any surface
compatible with water in commercial or industrial application. Bio-S.E.P.
is non-toxic, nonhazardous, non-flammable and readily biodegradable.
Agitation is required. Although Bio-S.E.P. is a superb cleaner, agitation
will make cleaning faster and more effective. Regular cleaning with Bio-S.E.P.
will shorten the cleaning time, making the product more cost effective.
When a high gloss finish is desired and to avoid streaking, rinse thoroughly
with water.
Bio-S.E.P. has a rust inhibitor. Cleaning auto parts or other raw metals
with Bio-S.E.P. will aid in the prevention of rust.
A test dilution of Bio-S.E.P. should be made before cleaning begins. Bio-S.E.P.
is highly concentrated, and can be diluted further than many cleaner/degreasers,
thus making it very cost effective. This is a very important marketing tool
and one that should always be stressed.
GREASE is a complex organic substance.
Yet when grease is exposed to OXYGEN and inoculated with concentrated doses
of SPECIALIZED, GREASE-EATING MICROBES,
It becomes, through the action of enzymes produced by the microbes, CARBON
DIOXIDE and WATER and MORE BACTERIA
The renewed supply of bacteria is washed further along down the plumbing
system, and repeats the process of aerobic degradation when keeps remaining
grease fluid and drain fines free, and reduces grease trap accumulation,
thus preventing growth of the undesirable bacteria that naturally occur
in plumbing and the foul odors they produce.
The difference between old-fashioned home brew and modern, controlled
wine and beer is the difference between cultures where the starter is left
to chance. A clean, high-potency starter culture is used to produce Shurzyme
for Sherman Enterprises'.
Our manufacturer has produced our culture material by submerged (deep-tank)
fermentation under aseptic conditions. Major drug companies use this same
process for antibiotic fermentations because it produces pure, clean cultures.
Many other culture manufacturers do not operate their production processes
aseptically. When the wanted organism is grown, many other organisms grow
along with it.
Some of these unwanted organisms are harmless. Others, however, may be positively
harmful or dangerous. Products grown in a non-sterile environment often
vary widely in content from fermentation to fermentation. One batch may
be good, but another terrible.
The submerged fermentation method allows our manufacturer to produce high
potency products under rigid control.
It is a far more expensive procedure than is used to produce many competitive
products. However, when we specify that a product contains a certain number
of a particular organism you can be sure it meets exactly those standards.
Our manufacturers' plate counts never include adventitious organisms. With
a heritage in the production of microorganisms for agriculture and waste
treatment of over 15 years our culturer is set apart.
They have used organisms from many sources to develop our products. Sometimes
when an organism with an enzyme system or other useful property is available
in the public domain, our manufacturer obtains a pure culture of that microbe
from a recognized culture collection.
After checking it for purity, they preserve it by a proprietary process
which allows the cells to remain stable for years without the damaging effects
of freeze-drying. The organism is then ready to be revived at a moment's
notice for plant production.
Many times organisms present in nature offer a better prospect of meeting
the needs of a particular process. Our manufacturer searches out those organisms
which have potential for use in waste treatment and horticulture by using
special enrichment culture techniques.
After evaluating the performance of a new microbe, it is preserved and placed
in their collection. Thus we have at our disposal a large group of organisms
analyzed for novel industrial and agricultural uses.
Bio-S.E.P. is a super-concentrated cleaner. The Dilution Chart below
shows how economical Bio-S.E.P. is to use. Also due to Bio-S.E.P.'s universality,
using one concentrated cleaner in different dilutions can save you double...triple...or
even more!

PRECAUTION ON MATERIALS: Wash hands after each use. In all situations
in which Shurzyme is recommended it is safe to use with all equipment. Wash
all food handling equipment thoroughly after use with Shurzyme.
PURITY: Shurzyme organisms are grown aerobically by submerged fermentation
under aseptic conditions to prevent the contamination with ineffective or
pathogenic organisms which routinely occurs in non-sterile, semi-solid production
of microbial cultures on bran. Our manufacturers' process, stainless steel
vessels containing the growth medium are sterilized with flowing steam under
pressure. The organisms are transferred aseptically from pure stock cultures
to the fermentation vessels. Their technology assures that adventitious
or pathogenic organisms are neither present nor grown in the production
of Shurzyme.
POTENCY: Because Shurzyme fermentation takes place under rigidly controlled
conditions, high-potency counts are obtained routinely from batch to batch.
Our counts represent 100% effective organisms since other organisms do not
enter the growth process by accident.
ORIGIN OF MICROORGANISM: The microorganism in Shurzyme is not foreign to
the ordinary natural environment as it occurs commonly in soil and water.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: Neither Shurzyme nor the organisms in Shurzyme are
toxic agents. When Shurzyme bacteria are added to a contaminated environment
the original toxicity of the environment remains unchanged, but as the Shurzyme
organisms grow the original concentration of organic substances in the environment
is reduced. Treatment of organic compounds with Shurzyme produces only carbon
dioxide and water plus bacteria.
PATHOGENICITY: The bacteria in Shurzyme are not a threat to human health.
The organism has been used for 50 years in the baking industry to deglutinize
flour. Our manufacturer/culturer screens its products to assure that no
adventitious pathogens are present.
